Quest: Like a modern-day “The 400 Blows,” this is a powerful, thinly fictionalized film about the tortured Berkeley childhood of its writer-director Santiago Rizzo. Greg Kasyan — the Jean-Pierre Leaud to Rizzo’s Truffaut — just won best actor at the Oldenburg (Germany) Film Festival, Europe’s equivalent of Sundance. Ultimately inspiring, the film plays the Mill Valley Film Festival at 2:15 and 8:15 p.m. Sunday at the Rafael 2.
